The Chicago Southland Fiber Network will hold a Training Seminar on Wednesday, August 26th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon, at the South Suburban College Lecture Hall B. The seminar is intended for economic development coordinators, municipal information technology staff, municipal managers, and school district IT staff, looking for information on how the CSFN fiber network can help support economic development, improve municipal connectivity, and eliminate network bottlenecks in reaching educational resources and materials. The training seminar will focus on the applications, services and solutions which CSFN and Urbancom.net provides to the Chicago Southland and where those network connections and services are available. The seminar materials will cover the benefit of public sector fiber networks and how those networks, much like highways or electrical grid, are part of the critical infrastructure that support the economic health and a higher quality of life in a community. The discussion will also cover the basics of fiber networking technology and will offer the chance to work with the Carrier Ethernet equipment used by the CSFN to provide data connectivity to our customers. Whether you are looking for an opportunity to improve communications and data connectivity to your village, or have a site search that requires fiber access to fully meet the requirements, please plan to attend the CSFN and Urbancom.net training seminar on August 26, at South Suburban College in South Holland!
