E-recycling facility creates potential jobs for individuals with disabilities


Lawrence Hunt was eager to explain his work to Kevin Casey, director of the Division of Developmental Disabilities for Illinois. Hunt works at SouthSTAR Services’ Steger e-recycling facility, EcoSafe Processors, which Casey toured Thursday. “I was born in an era where we didn’t know what any of this even was,” Casey said. SouthSTAR Services provides education, socialization, training and employment to the developmentally disabled.
