Like a fire that roars back if not completely doused, bad bills you thought were dead have a way of roaring back in the state Legislature.
Such a bad bill — one that gives labor unions more say in how many firefighters and paramedics towns must hire — looks about ready to pop up again in the Illinois Senate.
