Franciscan Health is in desperate need for Personal Protective Equipment at the hospital

March 24, 2020 Dear Sir or Madam: Healthcare providers are in an unprecedented and unpredictable crisis. Facing a nationwide shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other supplies due to the COVI D-19 pandemic, Franciscan Health Olympia Fields is taking measures to conserve and source PPE. Our supply chain department is monitoring global product manufacturing and supply distribution channels and will take action where and when needed to maintain adequate supplies to meet the critical need and support our frontline staff.

As shortages persist, we are also asking for your help to check your inventory of medical supplies. We are seeking donations of new and unused PPE, such as N95 mask respirators, surgical face masks, gowns, gloves, protective glasses/goggles/shields and coveralls. Additionally, we are seeing limited availability of supplies, such as disposable personal wipes, hand sanitizer, surface disinfectants, medical thermometers and probe covers, and swab/specimen collection and transport containers.

Donated items may be shipped or dropped off at the hospital’s receiving dock: Franciscan Health Olympia Fields 20201 S. Crawford Ave. Olympia Fields, IL 60461

For more information, contact: Laurie Crosby, executive director of the Foundation Laurie.Crosby@franciscanalliance.org (708) 772-1659 We appreciate your attention and generous consideration of this request Your donation could have a profound effect on preventing the spread of this infection and allowing our staff to continue to safely provide care.

Please feel free to share this letter with your networks.
