Funding opportunity: Unsewered Communities Planning Grant

The Unsewered Communities Planning Grant Program provides grants to develop a project plan to address problems with the collection and treatment of wastewater. It will utilize a portion of the Illinois EPA Water Pollution Control Loan Program Loan Support funds generated from loan repayments.  The plan could later be used in the application for a project that would be funded by the Unsewered Communities Construction Grant Program. Funding will be limited to a maximum of $30,000 per applicant. There is no required local match. The planning grant application deadline is Monday, November 30, 2020. Read more.

The Unsewered Communities Construction Grant Program – Funding for projects which will provide wastewater collection and/or treatment solutions for areas where wastewater collection and/or treatment are presently nonexistent or inadequate. The construction grant application deadline is December 31, 2020. Read more. Award range: $500,000 – $5,000,000, award amount based on median household income.
