David Robinson dreams of a mobile app that could one day help businesses decide where to best move in the Coachella Valley. Robinson is hardly two weeks on the job, but he’s been busy vacuuming up public data, sorting information into maps that could help analyze future job growth across the desert. The Coachella Valley Economic Partnership recently hired Robinson to be its new GIS, or geographic information systems, coordinator. The Palm Springs organization works to attract, retain and grow businesses and the workforce across the desert.
