Metra will increase service at the Hyde Park and Pullman neighborhood stops along the Metra Electric District line next month, but will cut some trains on the Blue Island and South Chicago branches.
The commuter rail service is also cutting midday express service between Chicago and Blue Island on its Rock Island Line after a yearlong pilot failed to attract enough riders.
