Supporters of the proposed South Suburban Airport near Monee are racing the clock to secure crucial state backing for the project before the scheduled end of the legislative session on May 31.
Advocates who gathered Thursday morning at Prairie State College in Chicago Heights for a Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce event discussed how the airport would create jobs and promote economic development in the region.
