With the possibility of the season’s first snowfall arriving early Saturday, officials in the south and southwest suburbs said they’re prepared for another winter of battling the elements.
And although long-range predictions suggest that this winter could be milder with less snow than the last two winters, municipal officials point out that the only thing predictable about a winter in Chicago is its unpredictability.
