Municipal Auction The fall 2017 quarterly NWMC live surplus vehicle and equipment auction was held on Tuesday, October 24 at America’s Auto Auction in Crestwood. Ninety-eight (98) vehicles and pieces of equipment were offered in the auction, which marks a substantial increase from previous auctions. We thank NWMC members Evanston, Glenview, Highland Park, Kenilworth, Lincolnshire, Lincolnwood, Palatine, Skokie, Streamwood and Wilmette for participating in the auction. They were joined by Aurora, Carol Stream, Crete, Matteson, North Aurora, Olympia Fields, Steger and Schererville, In. While we await the final sales figures from Tuesday’s event, we are pleased to announce the quarterly auction dates for 2018: January 23; April 24; July 24; and, October 23. SPC Extends Dodge Ram ProMaster 1500 Cargo Van with Price Decrease! The Suburban Purchasing Cooperative (SPC) Governing board has awarded the second of three (3) possible, one-year contract extensions on the 2018 Dodge Ram ProMaster 1500 Cargo Van with Options (Contract #156) to Napleton Fleet Group of Westmont. The contract extension runs from December 10, 2017 through December 9, 2018. We are pleased to report that the 2018 vehicle base price is $1,193 less than 2017, from $21,604 to $20,411, thanks to an enhanced bid concession amount from FCA/Chrysler Government Fleet Sales.
