SPC Ford Vehicle Update The Suburban Purchasing Cooperative (SPC) Governing Board has approved the final contract extension for 2018 Ford Pick Up Trucks with Currie Motors of Frankfort. The contract extension contains model year rollovers and price increases on Ford trucks through March 17, 2018 as follows:

The following contract extensions and 2018 model year rollovers have been approved on Ford vehicles with no price increases: Contract, Extension #, Through #152 Ford Police Interceptor Utility #2 of 3 November 8, 2018 #154 Ford Police Interceptor Sedan #2 of 3 December 1, 2018 #163 Ford Taurus #1 of 3 November 14, 2018 #165 Ford Escape #1 of 3 November 14, 2018

Finally, General Motors has agreed to a 2018 model year rollover on the Chevrolet Tahoe Police Patrol Vehicle Package (Contract #147) with Currie Motors of Forest Park. The contract runs through April 10, 2018 and is the final contract extension for this vehicle. 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 4×4 Crew Cab Special Service Vehicle (SSV) Napleton Fleet Group of Oakbrook Terrace has been awarded the second of three (3) possible, one-year contract extensions on the 2018 model year Dodge Ram 1500 4X4 Crew Cab Special Service Vehicle (SSV) (Contract #157). The contract extension runs from December 10, 2017 through December 9, 2018. We are pleased to report that the base price is $25,886, or $622.00 lower than last year. Please note that although 2018 option prices have increased 11% over 2017, a typical SPC member order will still realize an estimated net savings in the $300 to $350 range. NWMC Fall Auction Coming Up Quickly The fall NWMC surplus vehicle and equipment auction continues to grow! There is still plenty of time to participate in the auction, which will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2:00 p.m. at America’s Auto Auction in Crestwood. Participating municipalities currently include: Carol Stream; Country Club Hills; Crestwood; Crete; Glencoe; Kenilworth; Lynwood; New Lenox; Skokie; and, Wilmette. When considering disposal of your surplus vehicles and equipment, please note that the NWMC/America’s Auto Auction partnership offers state-of-the-art methods for live and online auctions which rival other alternatives. Most importantly, this partnership streamlines the auction process for buyers and sellers and saves NWMC members time and money in disposing of their surplus vehicles and equipment while supporting the operations of the organization. America’s Auto Auction’s 40-acre facility provides full service auctions for their existing dealer network, the general public and online/simulcast bidders.
