United States Hockey League (USHL) Development Series Phase I, II & III Combine in the Village of Orland Park Honored as a 2017 Champion of Economic Impact in Sports Tourism by Sports Destination Management
Sports Destination Management, the leading publication with the largest circulation of sports event planners and tournament directors has announced the 2017 Champions of Economic Impact in Sports Tourism. This year’s winners are responsible for contributing more than $400 million to the national economy over the past year.
Among the winners was United States Hockey League (USHL) Development Series, produced in cooperation with the Village of Orland Park.
Over 3,100 participants from throughout the United States were in attendance for the events. The pre-screened players chosen by the USHL staff are invited to attend. These athletes then have the opportunity to perform for USHL coaches, staff and NCAA coaches as well. This event generated 1,416 room nights with an economic impact of $1,013,650.
