Earlier this month, Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle’s office announced the National Association of Counties bestowed nine Achievement Awards upon county projects, including the Lincoln Highway Industrial Corridor project.
Launched in January 2017, the project looked into how industrially zoned sites in several towns, including Ford Heights, could be further developed for or by businesses dependent upon rail or truck resources. It identified and ranked six priority redevelopment sites.
